Just 26 grams, including the frame and lenses!

"AL e RO design" is a unique and flexible eyewear brand characterized by its unique, flexible frame structure that takes advantage of rubber's properties. It is easy to change the lenses yourself and can be folded compactly, making it a truly distinctive eyewear brand. It is unisex, one-size-fits-all, and its abundant color variations are also appealing.

"Sunglasses are an important element that emphasizes individuality and style."Siblings Alessio and Rosetta Santoiemma decided to create comfortable sunglasses with a focus on materials, design, and production processes, establishing their company in 2010. It launched in 2011 as "AL e RO design," named after the first two letters of the siblings' names (Alessio's "AL" and Rosetta's "RO").

Weighing just 26 grams with both frame and lenses, these sunglasses offer a comfortable fit and a durable structure, with a lineup of unique eyewear suitable for diverse locations such as beaches, travel, driving, and sports.

Combining Fashion and Functionality

The frame material of these sunglasses has passed the "strength," "combustion," and "structure" tests of the EN1836 standard conducted by the Italian eyewear certification body "Certottica." They use renewable, latex-free rubber (a material that does not contain natural rubber, which can cause allergic reactions). The lenses are from "Optics by Carl Zeiss," which have passed the US FDA standard "Drop Ball Test" for impact resistance. Furthermore, they have demonstrated long-term durability in the "Stove aging test," which involves placing the entire eyewear package, including the glasses themselves, into a high-temperature heater.

The frame designs come in two collections: the teardrop-type "Drop Collection" and the square-type "Square Collection." In addition to one set of lenses (multi-layer), two sets are available: "Carl Zeiss Mirror Lenses / Carl Zeiss Gradient Lenses." The "Multilayer Collection," with one set of "Carl Zeiss Multi-layer Lenses" suitable for outdoor sports such as marine sports and skiing, is also part of the lineup.

AL e RO design balances a playful approach to color and function with modern technology and a commitment to Made in Italy quality, all based on classic designs. They are a high-quality, distinctive eyewear brand with unique and eco-friendly appeal.
