Celine's Tied-Up Designs

We turn our attention to the creations of Phoebe Philo for CÉLINE, a designer who has established her own distinct style, unswayed by the dizzying cycle of trends. She is one of the designers leading fashion into a new era.

Establishing a New Minimalism

Fashion evolves through reaction and repetition. It progresses through this interplay of opposites: long after mini comes maxi, and body-conscious follows oversized silhouettes. Feminine forms succeed masculine ones.

However, this cycle has become more leisurely and gradual, quite different from the 1980s and 90s. More designers are choosing to cherish their brand identity over fleeting trends.

It was Phoebe Philo's CÉLINE that established a new minimalism. It's not simply about simplicity. This season, she introduces a new silhouette with a twist: "tying" elements along the torso line.

Sleeves and waist details that form knots are cut from the same fabric as the main body. The gentle flare is also characteristic of the CÉLINE style, with a slightly widened silhouette. The color palette of powder pink, light gray, and ecru feels fresh.
