Relaxed Expressions, Like Private Photos

The D.I.Y. Project is a rag & bone/JEAN initiative with a concept distinct from traditional advertising campaigns. Instead of studio shoots, models are given cameras and a bag of rag & bone/JEAN clothing, then asked to interpret the clothes and photograph themselves freely. Launched in 2011, it has featured participants such as Lily Aldridge, Jourdan Dunn, Liu Wen, Carolyn Murphy, and Poppy Delevingne. The project has garnered attention for its unique photographs capturing the models' candid, rarely-seen sides.




For the second installment of the D.I.Y. Project Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, the brand tapped Anais Pouliot, a French model exuding exotic charm, and Jessica Hart, an Australian model based in New York known for her distinctive fashion sense. Anais Pouliot shot her images in three locations, including St. Barts on New Year's Eve and Miami during a trip with her boyfriend. Jessica Hart, aiming for "spontaneous photos," had her sister photograph her at the Roosevelt Hotel in L.A.

Designer David Neville commented on the second installment: "We are incredibly honored to have Jessica and Anais participate this time. Both possess a unique and natural beauty, which has resulted in a wonderfully summery atmosphere for the photographs."





The campaign features a diverse array of unique photographs, each distinct and reflecting the individual models' personalities. Enjoy the relaxed and charming expressions of the models, born from their freedom of creative interpretation.
