Edo Kiriko bangles and Edo Kiriko pattern vinyl umbrellas available for pre-sale at the event
This season, beautiful people created their collection with the theme "EDOMAE TRAD." The brand, which has always aimed for "subtly flashy" and "mode yet unrefined" aesthetics, presents a collection that blends the "spirit of Edo"—achieved through their unique perspective—with modern, traditional, and basic elements.
At the "EDOMAE KAIHOKU" event, in addition to the popular Spring/Summer 2013 collection, items with an "iki" (chic) sensibility will be available for pre-sale. These include Edo Kiriko bangles, Edo Kiriko pattern vinyl umbrellas, a selection of rice crackers made in collaboration with a master craftsman, and T-shirts featuring iconic quotes from Tora-san in "Tora-san, Our Lovable Tramp."
Tora-san's memorable lines, which evoke a chuckle or touch the heart, as motifs
The "Tora-san, Our Lovable Tramp" T-shirts, in particular, feature lines chosen by beautiful people: "Tora-san, Our Lovable Tramp ~ It’s Tough Being man.," "You are ever stupid, aren’t you? ~ I bet you are an intelligentsia.," "You are ever stupid, aren’t you? ~ You are ever stupid, aren’t you?," and "It’s fatalistic to say that. ~ It’s fatalistic to say that." Each T-shirt is meticulously crafted with techniques like gradient printing, flocky printing, and embroidery to match the image of the quote. The inside of the collar is printed with "Tora-san, Our Lovable Tramp."
Embrace the latest from beautiful people and experience a new sense of "iki"—crafted in the "Edomae style" unique to a brand based in contemporary Tokyo.
