Repetto Stores Nationwide to Host "Cendrillon Fair" from April 24

Limited Edition Models Debut from the 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

Founded in 1947 by Rose Repetto in a small atelier near the Paris Opera, "Repetto" began with dance shoes designed using the "cousu retourné" (turned and stitched) method. Today, Repetto, iconic for its flat ballerina shoes that are highly popular as fashion items, will launch the shop-exclusive model "Cendrillon Carnaval" from its 2013 Spring/Summer collection on April 24 (Wednesday).

Repetto's turning point, from a brand representing the ballet world with its ballet shoes, came with its encounter with actress Brigitte Bardot. In 1956, Brigitte Bardot ordered a pair of flat ballerina shoes, "as flexible and comfortable as ballet shoes," in the most sensual color, carmine red. Thus, the flat ballerina shoe for town wear was born.

The "Cendrillon Carnaval," launching as a shop-exclusive model this time, features a charming and glamorous design with small sequins scattered on soft suede material, perfect for upcoming styling. It will be available in two colors: a sweet and elegant beige pink, and a luxe and stylish black.

Furthermore, from April 24 (Wednesday), the "Cendrillon Fair" will be held at all Repetto shops. To commemorate the return of the name of Repetto's iconic flat ballerina shoe from "BB" to its origin, "Cendrillon," a novelty gift will be presented to those who purchase one or more pairs from the Cendrillon series.

Cendrillon means "Cinderella" in French. Let's enjoy early summer fashion wearing your own pair of Cinderella shoes.
