A Five-Star Hotel, Fifty Rooms, Fifty Stories
The morning of the final day of Paris Fashion Week is always filled with anticipation.
10:00 AM. The Louis Vuitton show, where punctuality is paramount.
The excitement begins as you enter the specially constructed tent within the Louvre Museum. This season, the exterior was a simple white. Inside, a circular corridor connects the space. Fifty doors line the corridor. Yes, this is the hallway of a five-star hotel.
A door opens, and a model appears. A room with a large Louis Vuitton trunk. A video plays showing a model putting on stockings on a bed. Each room tells a different story of the woman within.
A woman in a sequined coat and suit, carrying a clutch bag. Another in a lingerie dress and pajama suit, draped in a fur coat. A 60s-style wig and platform shoes lent an air of languor.
The Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall collection, presented back in Tokyo, evokes the image of Jeanne Moreau in the film 'The Bride Wore Black.' Think sheer, alluring mini dresses in lace and suits adorned with sequins. Bags and accessories in black and navy blue (a favorite color of Parisian women). All pure Parisian chic.
