Flagship Shop Relocates and Reopens as a Street-Level Store

New York-based select shop "Opening Ceremony," a purveyor of high-fashion styles and culture, will relocate its flagship store from Shibuya Seibu Movida to Cat Street in Omotesando, reopening as a street-level establishment on April 20th (Saturday). The Shibuya Movida store will operate until April 7th (Sunday).

Collaboration Line with Kiko Mizuhara Also Launches Simultaneously

The new flagship shop spans floors B1F to 3F. Each floor is delineated by different materials and themes, creating distinct shop environments. Key elements include a staircase extending from floor to ceiling, racks resembling large waves, glass vessels that appear to float, and light from LED monitors. Original fixtures, crafted with the brand's signature avant-garde visuals, create a unique shopping space unlike any other.

The lineup remains consistent, featuring the in-house brand Opening Ceremony, alongside emerging designers sourced from around the globe, and popular brands such as Acne and Alexander Wang. The collection offers a curated selection of womenswear, menswear, and accessories, all chosen with an edgy, distinctive sensibility.

To commemorate the opening, a collaboration line, "Kiko Mizuhara for OPENING CEREMONY," between "Opening Ceremony Japan" and model/actress Kiko Mizuhara will also debut. The collection features 20 items in total, including French-chic dresses, classic negligees with daring thigh-high slits, and delicate black lace bras, all inspired by the cabarets of 1920s Paris. The collection will launch at the Omotesando store before rolling out to the LUMINE Shinjuku store.

Additionally, a variety of special and exclusive items from various brands will be released to celebrate the relocation, offering pieces available only at this location. As a special gift for purchases over 5,000 yen, customers will receive a tote bag created in collaboration with creators and brands close to "Opening Ceremony," such as ANTIPODIUM and G.V.G.V., on a first-come, first-served basis.

The new flagship shop of "Opening Ceremony," infused with the brand's aesthetic throughout, is poised to invigorate Tokyo's fashion culture from its new location on Cat Street, serving as a fresh local hub.
