Limited Edition Items Featuring Collage Techniques Also Debut

"sacai 'THE' showcase" is described as a retrospective that offers a glimpse into the mind of designer Chitose Abe, exploring what "design that exists in everyday life," the brand's core concept, truly means, and what constitutes meaningful design for sacai.

In collaboration with artist Teppei Kaneuji, whose work has garnered attention both domestically and internationally, the space's visual concept is constructed using his signature collage techniques. The showcase embodies the roots of sacai's creation, illustrating its characteristic approach of generating new standards based on universal, classic items, and explaining the origins of its unique combinations of materials and voluminous silhouettes.

Additionally, limited-edition items will be available during the event. These pieces incorporate Teppei Kaneuji's collage methods and concepts, reimagining existing items and details like brooches and bijoux. Designs feature a fusion of flat (print) and three-dimensional (stone, etc.) elements, creating collages where colorful, padded prints resembling layered necklaces are adorned with actual bijoux. Several items, including cut-and-sew dresses and cardigans, will be released.
