A Countdown Pop-Up Shop Appears
While sharing the same brand DNA as kate spade new york—colorful, optimistic, and bold—KATE SPADE SATURDAY expresses these qualities more casually with the concept of "living every day with Saturday's excitement." The collection spans apparel, handbags, accessories, and even home decor. Featuring natural materials like cotton, canvas, and vegetable-tanned leather, the items are simple and versatile, perfect for real life. For women with busy lifestyles, the brand offers a delightful way to inject playfulness into daily outfits with bold colors and prints.
KATE SPADE SATURDAY will open its flagship store in Tokyo's Harajuku on Saturday, March 2, 2013, as its first shop worldwide. E-commerce in Japan (WWW.SATURDAY.JP) will also launch simultaneously. Additionally, the second floor of the flagship store will house a cafe by "Sigmund’s Pretzels," a renowned pretzel shop from New York, marking its first cafe in Japan. This adds to the authentic American brand atmosphere.
The brand also introduces a compelling proposition: new items will arrive at the shop and online every Saturday, promising a fresher and more fulfilling shopping experience. Following this Harajuku store, Lumine Shinjuku 2 is set to open on Tuesday, March 5, and NU Chayamachi on Saturday, March 16.
Plus! Special Events Leading Up to the Grand Opening
To celebrate the debut of KATE SPADE SATURDAY, a countdown pop-up shop, marked by the brand's signature yellow, will open for a limited time from Saturday, February 23, to Sunday, March 3, on the first floor of Laforet Harajuku. A curated selection of apparel, bags, and lifestyle goods will be available here before anywhere else.
On Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3, immediately following the Harajuku store's opening, a call for "Everyone's Saturday Plans" will be launched. Participants will receive a pretzel from "Sigmund’s Pretzels." (Offer valid for two days only, while supplies last; submissions accepted continuously via Twitter and Instagram).
From Sunday, February 24, to Saturday, March 9, yellow flags symbolizing KATE SPADE SATURDAY will appear at 30 locations, including cafes and hair salons, throughout the Harajuku and Omotesando area. A yellow calendar counting down the week before the opening will also be displayed, building excitement for KATE SPADE SATURDAY's debut across the Harajuku cityscape.
I want to get my hands on the items early and live a happy life as if every day were Saturday.
