J.W. Anderson and Topshop Collaborate Again

The collaboration between J.W. Anderson and Topshop, which saw its first release last October and garnered global acclaim, is back for a second round. The second collection is set to launch on March 8th, accompanied by a series of special events to celebrate the partnership.

A Dreamy Event: Shop with the Designer

Following the immense success of their first collaboration, J.W. Anderson and Topshop have joined forces once more, bringing us a collection rich with iconic styles that have become brand signatures. The highly anticipated second drop arrives on March 8th.

This collection builds upon the appeal and depth of the first, reinterpreted with futuristic materials for a more refined, modern aesthetic. The kilt skirt is crafted from a strong indigo denim, while the trench coat is updated with a striking black patent finish, as if imbued with a will of its own. Traditional loafers are transformed with a 7.6cm platform sole, evoking a distinctly UK vibe. Other highlights include a mid-length pleated skirt in pale tones made from diver and vinyl fabrics, perfect for spring, and a gingham check shirt featuring an engraved "JW" logo – a lineup of simple yet stylish pieces.

"The designs are more conscious of youth culture. As the girl depicted as an icon grows, the designs have also been updated. We've added these changes to the iconic items from the previous collection to create pieces that can be worn frequently," commented designer Jonathan William Anderson on the second collection.

To commemorate the launch, various events will also be held. Customers purchasing collaboration items will receive an original tote bag featuring a dodo bird print, while all shoppers at Topshop will receive a badge with an eye-catching NEWGEN original design. (Both are available while supplies last. The tote bag is not available at the Yokohama store.) A shop-in-shop, offering a chance to experience J.W. Anderson's world for the first time in Japan, will open at the Topshop Shinjuku MIRAZA store.

Furthermore, on March 7th (Thursday), the day before the launch, one pair of winners selected by lottery from applicants will have the chance to enjoy a dream shopping experience with designer Jonathan William Anderson himself in Topshop's personal shopping room. On the launch day, March 8th, the first five customers at the Shinjuku MIRAZA store will receive the right to greet Jonathan, and the first fifty customers will receive a tote bag signed by the designer. With a host of unmissable events, the second collaboration is set to be a major hit.

This collaboration between J.W. Anderson, one of London's most talked-about young designers who launched his menswear collection in Autumn/Winter 2008 and a full womenswear line in 2012, and Topshop is bound to be a global sensation. Be sure to check it out early.

One pair of winners, selected by lottery from applicants, will enjoy a shopping spree with J.W. Anderson himself in Topshop's personal shopping room on Thursday, March 7th, experiencing VIP treatment. Additionally, they will receive a collaboration item, a 20% off VIP card (valid on the day), and other generous perks.
