Inspired by Bruce Weber's Campaign Photos

Jonathan Anderson, born in Northern Ireland in 1984, was chosen for the first collaboration in the VERSUS series under the creative leadership of Donatella Versace. Anderson studied menswear design at the London College of Fashion, graduating in 2005 and launching his own label, J.W. Anderson, in 2008. Initially menswear-only, he later introduced a womenswear line and is now considered a rising designer with significant potential, having received the British Fashion Award for Emerging Talent this year.

He stated that he was inspired by a VERSUS campaign photo shot by photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber in 1996. "For me, this iconic image says everything about VERSUS. It's my VERSUS: boy and girl, girl and girl, boy and boy. It's pure," he commented.

The collection, inspired by this campaign photo, is scheduled to be unveiled in New York next spring through a presentation event. It will encompass womenswear, menswear, and accessories, and will be available through the online store and at select luxury department stores and boutiques worldwide.

Donatella also expressed her enthusiasm: "I'm always looking at young talent, and I've been following Jonathan's work for several years. VERSUS is about fun, change, and the digital world. I can't wait to announce this collaboration." Her anticipation, along with that of many others, is palpable.
