Latest Men's Collection Takes Inspiration from "Fight Club"
The 2013 Spring/Summer Sports Luxury Collection
"adidas SLVR (adidas Silver)" has announced its first participation in Pitti Immagine Uomo, to be held in Florence, Italy, from January 8th to 11th, 2013. The brand will present its 2013-14 Autumn/Winter Men's & Women's collections in a standalone booth. Regarding this participation, Creative Director Dirk Schönberger stated, "Supported by adidas's outstanding technology, SLVR continues to break the boundaries of sportswear. We are creating something we are confident is suitable for contemporary culture by fusing performance and tailoring."

Theme of the 2013 Spring/Summer Collection: "An object in motion tends to stay in motion"
adidas SLVR develops a contemporary sportswear collection that fuses innovation and tradition. Based on the concept of "functional elegance," the brand emphasizes precise tailoring and refined silhouettes. From apparel to accessories and footwear, it creates essential wardrobe pieces by subtly integrating novel details and groundbreaking materials with a chic sensibility.
The theme of the 2013 Spring/Summer collection is the well-known principle "An object in motion tends to stay in motion," with the collection drawing inspiration from martial arts and the film "Fight Club" starring Brad Pitt.
This season's menswear collection embodies an elegant atmosphere adaptable to various 21st-century lifestyles and situations, symbolized by cool jackets in sherbet colors made of perforated leather. The collection integrates innovative materials with styles that exude quiet confidence, with new focus placed on various items, prints, shapes, and silhouettes.
Direct Quotation of Brad Pitt's Costumes from the Film
In its proposal of sports luxury from a high-fashion perspective, the collection highlights the combination of contrasting materials, such as wool blazers paired with nylon lapels, and the use of abstract print fabrics that also appear in the women's collection.
The menswear patterns directly quote the costumes worn by Brad Pitt in "Fight Club," expressing the cool intelligence and rugged masculinity of his character. Boxing shorts made of nylon and sweat material, button-down shirts with stand collars, orange twill pants featuring contrasting tuxedo stripes, and three-quarter length black trench coats adorned with glossy tone-on-tone paint evoke a "karate"-inspired design.
Footwear, like the apparel, strongly emphasizes inspiration drawn from martial arts while skillfully mixing different materials. For men, boxing boots made of leather and mesh express stylish, urban intelligence, and the leather and nylon combination oxford shoes update a classic shape with a twist.
