Keiichiro Shibuya, known for his avant-garde musical activities, and Toshiki Okada, acclaimed for 'overturning the conventional concepts of theater.' These two artists, both born in 1973, have joined forces with Louis Vuitton for a special collaboration on their first Vocaloid opera, 'THE END,' featuring Hatsune Miku, an icon of our time.

The costume Miku wears in the opera is an original creation designed by Artistic Director Marc Jacobs and his studio team for the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, adapted to Hatsune Miku's physique and unique aura. This collection, which notably eschews the maison's signature Monogram, features a checkered Damier pattern in a vibrant array of colors and hues, expressing a romantic geometric world and lending a distinct graphic impression to the clothing and accessories. This aesthetic has been projected onto Miku's ensemble.

Furthermore, the linear design extends beyond her attire to her bags and shoes. In Miku's hands are bags in square and cube shapes, a reinterpretation of Louis Vuitton's iconic Speedy, while her shoes feature long pointed uppers adorned with ribbons, creating bold geometric patterns.

The digitized, 3D-rendered visuals of Hatsune Miku in this costume, created by visual artist YKBX, will be exclusively shown to the audience attending the premiere of 'THE END' on Saturday, December 1st, and Sunday, December 2nd, at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM). With all tickets already sold out, this phantom collaboration between Hatsune Miku and Louis Vuitton will live on only in the memories of those who witnessed it.
