Supporting Hurricane Sandy Victims with a Charity Sample Sale!
The NPO FASHION GIRLS FOR HUMANITY will hold a charity sample sale on Tuesday, November 27th, and Wednesday, November 28th, at THE BOWERY HOTEL in New York, to support victims of Hurricane Sandy, which struck New York in late October 2012.

Over 100 Designers Join the Charity Effort
In 2011, in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake, the NPO "Fashion Girls for Japan" was founded, primarily by women working in the fashion industry in New York. At that time, they held a charity sample sale with the support of over 100 designers. All items were donated, and the entire proceeds were contributed, raising over $400,000 in total.
For this charity sample sale targeting Hurricane Sandy victims, the organization has changed its name to "Fashion Girls for Humanity." This event is intended as a gesture of gratitude for the significant donations New Yorkers provided to Japan after the Great East Japan Earthquake.
While the extent of Sandy's damage has not been widely reported in Japan, some coastal areas remain buried in rubble, and some regions are still without power. The Bowery Hotel is providing the venue free of charge, and all proceeds from ticket sales will also be donated.
