LOEWE's Aesthetic Intertwined with European Tradition
The elegant curves of the Baroque style captivate women. This opulent aesthetic, prevalent across Europe, including Spain, from the 17th to 18th centuries, is reimagined by LOEWE in the "Barroco" collection.
Spain is also renowned for its heritage of leatherworking techniques. This tradition is said to have originated from North Africa during the 8th century when the Moors ruled the Iberian Peninsula. Among these, embossed leatherwork, requiring delicate skill and considerable time, has been passed down through generations in Spain and is one of the traditional crafts LOEWE has upheld since its founding in 1846.
This collection showcases that exceptional craftsmanship without reservation. Items abound, such as the iconic "Amazona" bag, featuring sensual Baroque motifs printed on its leather lining and padlock, embodying LOEWE's passionate expression of Spanish Baroque throughout its Autumn/Winter collection.
Additionally, the collection unfolds with refined pieces where Creative Director Stuart Vevers' aesthetic converges with the grandeur of European tradition. Notable items include the "Arco" bag, its handle secured by patches adorned with ornate curved patterns, and the Flamenco bag featuring printed motifs.
Beyond bags, the collection extends to everyday essentials like wallets, keyrings, charms, and notebooks. Discover the artistry of LOEWE and the elegance of Europe through these exquisite pieces.
