A New Boutique Bathed in Light Opens in Aoyama

DOLCE&GABBANA has opened a new flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo. The boutique spans two floors, the first and second. The first floor showcases ready-to-wear collections for men and women, accessories, and leather goods, while the second floor displays shoes, men's formalwear, and women's eveningwear. Additionally, a corner dedicated to fine jewelry collections features pieces specially designed with gold accents on the floors and fixtures.

An Interior Evoking the Sicilian Sun

Gwenael Nicolas, president of design studio CURIOSITY, designed the Dolce & Gabbana Aoyama boutique. The exterior, clad in Italian Arabescato marble, and a panel bearing the brand name crafted from Black Calacatta marble at the entrance welcome visitors.

Inside the 550-square-meter boutique, the concept of "the Sicilian sun" is expressed through chiaroscuro effects, capturing the brilliance of light. Over 400 adjustable projectors on the ceiling repeatedly turn on and off, mimicking a bright Sicilian day, making the products shine vividly at times and recede into shadow at others.

The modern, powerful space, woven with light and shadow, seems to reflect the brand's spirit.
