Where Innovative Techniques Meet Craftsmanship
Christian Louboutin's 2016 Autumn/Winter collection draws inspiration from two distinct styles: the European Renaissance and 1970s rock culture. The color palette—featuring carmine, deep gray, dark green, autumnal yellow, a femme fatale noir, and primary shades of purple and cubist yellow—expresses both styles with a seasonal sensibility.
The Tudor-inspired series features luxurious materials like velvet and moiré, adorned with pearls and rich stones, evoking the splendor of noble attire.
In contrast to aristocratic elegance, the series inspired by late 1970s and early 1980s glam rock and punk styles injects vibrancy into the collection with a stoic aesthetic and rebellious attitude, accented by catchy gold and water snake piping that emphasizes feminine lines.
The collection also includes playful items such as the spiky Jurassic series, reminiscent of prehistoric times, and designs inspired by candy and bubblegum. All these pieces are constructed using modern innovative techniques and the enduring craftsmanship passed down through generations.
Journeying Through Time, Unraveling History, and Paying Homage to Culture—. The resulting shoes from Christian Louboutin are imbued with an independent beauty, poised to step forward into the future.
