Coach: The Essence of New York

The campaign visuals for Coach's Autumn 2016 collection, from the quintessential New York brand, are set against a somewhat melancholic New York skyline, featuring pieces presented on the runway.WomenswearandMenswearcollections, evoking the optimism and energy that pulse through NYC.

The shoot was helmed by renowned photographer Steven Meisel, with styling by Karl Templer and art direction by the New York-based creative agency Baron & Baron. Shot in Brooklyn, the visuals showcase the womenswear and menswear ready-to-wear, accessories, and bags designed by Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers. The collection's feminine yet tough aesthetic is captured in the contrast between the nostalgic, retro American cars and the dynamic New York City skyline in the background.

The visuals feature models with intense personalities and presence, including Rianne Van Rompaey, Sandra Schmitt, Jing Wen, Caitie Green, Dilone, and Finnlay Davis. This fresh cast embodies the youthful defiance and optimistic spirit of a gang gathered in a local parking lot for some drifting.

The "Coach Gang" is clad in a remix of old and new, hard and soft, cool and classic. Feminine silks are layered with oversized shearling coats featuring workwear-inspired patchwork. Delicate, colorful tiered dresses are paired with tough, sporty varsity jackets. The new "Rogue" bag is finished with a tough edge through patches, emblems, studs, and rivets.

Stuart Vevers, Executive Creative Director of Coach Inc., commented, "The word 'cool' as we know it was born in this city with Coach in 1941, and together we have a 75-year history in pop culture. With this collection, I wanted to capture that cool, pop sensibility, bringing a new perspective to luxury through a sense of ease, wearability, and fun—a kind of subversive creativity."

The visuals of the NYC "Coach Gang," as captured by Steven Meisel, will be rolled out globally starting in August. We encourage you to visit a store and immerse yourself in this world.
