Professional Dancers Wear the 2016 Autumn/Winter Collection

Christian Louboutin has released "La Répétition" (Rehearsal), a short film by Blanca Li, the celebrated choreographer, dancer, and filmmaker. Inspired by the film "A Chorus Line," the work portrays a demanding choreographer directing stylish professional dancers in a studio setting.

The cast dancers of "La Répétition," having completed their stretches and wearing Christian Louboutin's 2016 Autumn/Winter shoes for rehearsal, are under Blanca Li's intense scrutiny. Li herself plays the role of a demanding choreographer, offering a subtly ironic homage to the ideal choreographer who can embody both masculine and feminine qualities.




The dancers, clad in Christian Louboutin's 2016 Autumn/Winter footwear, appear on the verge of exhaustion under Blanca's critical gaze. "A Chorus Line," which premiered on Broadway in 1975, is a musical about 17 hopeful dancers auditioning for roles in the chorus.

Dance is a recurring theme for Christian Louboutin, serving as a perpetual source of inspiration for both his womenswear and menswear collections.

"Louboutin shoes are not just for looking at or displaying; they are perfect for going out dancing at night!" comments Blanca. It's a fitting collaboration, recalling her futuristic stage show "ROBOT," which debuted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in June 2015, also featuring Christian Louboutin shoes.
