With prominent Tokyo Collection brands like Facetasm, Beautiful People, and Ujoh pausing their shows, this season felt unusually subdued. Amidst this, Support Surface's mature collection, showcasing stable prowess, and AKIRA NAKA's ambitious creations, driven by skill, stood out. Autumn wardrobes are completed by these two brands, along with Facetasm and Beautiful People.

Amidst a Quiet Season, Standout Creations of Stable Prowess and Skillful Ambition
This is the 2016-17 Autumn/Winter Collection. This season, dynamic brands are heading to Paris, taking a break from Tokyo shows. It was a quiet season.
Ujoh (Designer: Daisuke Nishida) presented its collection in Milan as a guest designer invited by Giorgio Armani. This offer provides a venue (Teatro Armani) for a new designer selected each season by Armani. Tokyo street style unfolded on a grand stage, three times the size of Tokyo's. Utility wear, prioritizing ease of wear, is layered with lace and embroidery to create volume.
ATSUSHI NAKASHIMA participated in Milan Collection with support from DHL. Mr. Atsushi Nakashima, who was an assistant designer at J.P. Gaultier for a long time, emphasized spherical bra tops.
Facetasm is looking towards Paris Collection next season, and Beautiful People skipped their show this season.
In Tokyo, veteran Support Surface (Designer: Nobuo Takabayashi) presented a dignified, mature collection. Velour and synthetic leather create shadows through draping. Loose, long silhouettes. A chic collection, walking quietly to live music.

AKIRA NAKA has long presented only at exhibitions, but this season offered exquisite lo-gauge knitwear. The perfect volume and length make these timely items, ideal for early autumn wear! One standout piece is an MA-1 style blouson. For this, we recommend the print collaboration with an artist by Facetasm. Wide pants that complete the long silhouette were selected from Beautiful People. The seasonal coordination is complete.
