Hoshi Mori Designs Sunglasses for Japanese Women!

Popular fashion model Hoshi Mori, who garners attention for her appearances in numerous fashion magazines and advertisements, as well as her bright personality and background, has unveiled a sunglasses collection she personally designed. With the slogan "Have fun with your sunny’s!", and a desire to encourage more Japanese women to enjoy sunglasses as a style element, she collaborated with the Italian brand ITALIA INDEPENDENT, a personal favorite, and the popular Omotesando select shop Valmuer. The result is a collection of sunglasses designed by Hoshi Mori, created specifically for Japanese women.




The sunglasses come in two styles: "LOLITA," a round type with an off-white glossy finish, exuding both cuteness and elegance; and "LEON," a popular double-bridge model with an all-black finish, designed for unisex wear with an emphasis on lightness and durability through the use of sheet metal. Hoshi Mori, a sunglasses enthusiast, meticulously considered the designs herself, aiming to offer stylish sunglasses to a wider range of Japanese women. These sunglasses offer not only UV protection but also a strong fashion statement.

ITALIA INDEPENDENT, which brings Hoshi Mori's designs to life, is a lifestyle brand founded in Italy in 2007 by the globally renowned fashion icon Lapo Elkann. Championing TRADINNOVATION (the fusion of tradition and innovation), the brand is committed to "Made In Italy 2.0" as a new proposition from Italy. With a presence in 80 countries worldwide and loved by celebrities globally, its momentum is unstoppable. It has recently gained significant attention since its launch in Japan. The brand has a history of successful collaborations with major brands such as "adidas Originals," "HUBLOT," and "Karl Lagerfeld."

As special bonuses, the sunglasses come with original scarves featuring Hoshi Mori's lips in different designs, and a dedicated ITALIA INDEPENDENT case. The original scarves, born from Hoshi Mori's innovative idea to "create scarves from eyeglass cloth material!", can be worn around the neck or as hair accessories, and also function as eyeglass cloths for cleaning lenses or mobile screens, making them a truly versatile item.




The Hoshi Mori × Valmuer × ITALIA INDEPENDENT original sunglasses are available for pre-order starting June 21 (Tuesday) on the crowdfunding site "Makuake" (https://www.makuake.com). The first 100 supporters of this project will receive an invitation to a collaboration commemorative party with Hoshi Mori.
