On May 3rd, in Havana, the capital of the Republic of Cuba, Karl Lagerfeld unveiled a revolutionary and playful cruise collection. The show was held on Paseo del Prado, a street lined with bronze lion statues, created in 1928 by a French landscape architect, which Mademoiselle Chanel herself once adored.

The show opened with Stella Tennant wearing a Panama hat by Maison Michel. Models then paraded down the promenade in looks that blended masculine and feminine elements with a subtly provocative flair. A key feature was the "guayabera," a traditional Cuban shirt with pockets and epaulets, which Karl Lagerfeld referred to as the "Cuban tux."

Jackets and dresses emphasizing the neckline, berets reminiscent of Che Guevara, and motifs of classic cars and tropical flora—these youthful, energetic pieces were rendered in vibrant colors like yellow, pink, orange, turquoise, and light green, evoking the baroque charm of Old Havana.
