A Capsule Collection Inspired by the Characters


THOMAS WYLDE announced a collaboration with DISNEY at its New York Collection for Fall/Winter 2016. The brand unveiled a capsule collection inspired by the characters from the Disney film "Alice Through the Looking Glass," set for release in Japan on July 1, 2016.

The White Queen, Red Queen, and Time Appear on the Runway



THOMAS WYLDE has partnered with DISNEY to present a capsule collection inspired by the characters from Walt Disney Studios' highly anticipated sequel, "Alice Through the Looking Glass" (scheduled for release in Japan on July 1, 2016). Key looks inspired by the main characters—the White Queen, the Red Queen, and Time—were revealed for the first time at the "Thomas Wylde Fall/Winter 2016 Collection" during New York Fashion Week on February 15th, local time.

The "White Queen" Look
This dress, both whimsical and refined, evokes a world that is fantastical, dramatic, and elegant. With a mini-length, high-front hemline that flows into a beautiful full-length, low-back design, it exudes a commanding aura.

The "Red Queen" Look
This wool-cashmere blend overcoat, rendered in a striking blood-red, features exquisite draping, a velvety plush finish, and sharp tailoring that hints at ambition—a design infused with THOMAS WYLDE's aesthetic sensibility.

The "Time" Look
This powerful, chic, and elegant suit is befitting a strong, modern woman. The jacket, inspired by the character's long cape silhouette, is paired with tight-fitting ruffled trousers.




In the video, Soo Koo, Vice President of Softlines Product Development at Disney, commented: "This capsule collection is a brilliant reflection of the street-couture trend, THOMAS WYLDE's brand signature, and the characters from 'Alice Through the Looking Glass.' Using strong, clean color palettes and luxurious materials, THOMAS WYLDE has brought the White Queen, the Red Queen, and Time to the runway."

The capsule collection is scheduled to be available in stores worldwide, at select retailers, and online, coinciding with the film's release in the United States on May 27, 2016.
