A Collaboration with the East India Company

Just as a 60th wedding anniversary is called a "diamond wedding," diamond symbolizes the 60-year milestone in Western culture. This year, marking Queen Elizabeth II's 60th anniversary on the throne, was celebrated as the "Diamond Jubilee," with commemorative ceremonies and numerous events held.

Tracing back 60 years, the shoes worn by the young Queen at her coronation were designed by the late Monsieur Roger Vivier. At the time, he was renowned for his artistic footwear, with celebrity clients such as Elizabeth Taylor. For that special day, he incorporated motifs from the Imperial State Crown and St Edward's Crown, which the Queen would wear, crafting shoes from fine gold kidskin inlaid with numerous rubies. The Queen, it is said, graced her momentous occasion in these dazzling shoes.

Now, Creative Director Bruno Frisoni has drawn inspiration from those original shoes to create "A QUEEN FOREVER," timed for the "Diamond Jubilee." Furthermore, an unprecedented collaboration has been realized with the East India Company, established in 1600 with a royal charter from Queen Elizabeth I and possessing a deep historical connection to diamonds and the British Royal Family. The shoes, based on black satin and adorned with majestic black feathers, are encrusted with over 4,000 brilliant-cut diamonds.

These shoes are set to be exhibited at the "Brilliant Exhibition" of diamonds, part of the Masterpiece Fair held in London from Thursday, June 28th to Wednesday, July 4th.

The exquisite "A QUEEN FOREVER," enveloped in sparkling diamonds, is a special pair that revives Monsieur Roger Vivier's design philosophy through Bruno Frisoni.
