First Canvas Bags Arrive in June

A shop for ISSEY MIYAKE INC.'s bag brand "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" has opened on the 3rd floor of Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs. Furthermore, in June, a new series "BILBAO CANVAS-1," featuring thick canvas with triangular mirror pieces along the edges, will be released.

Design Bags to Enjoy Shapes Born from Chance

Regarding the "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" store that opened on the 3rd floor of Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs, Akane Suzuki from Issey Miyake PR recommends, "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE bags are made from simple triangular pieces. It's interesting how they change shape depending on what you put inside. We offer a wide range of color variations, from the classic LUCENT to the colorful AT-RANDOM series."

The "BILBAO LUCENT SEASONAL COLORS" model, launching in June, is this season's seasonal color series featuring autumnal hues, available from June throughout the season.

Additionally, "BILBAO AT-RANDOM-1" is a series with four triangular pieces arranged randomly, making each bag one-of-a-kind. The color combinations, such as pink mix, blue mix, and black mix, are modern and stylish.

And "BILBAO CANVAS-1" marks the first canvas material for BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE, appearing as a large-capacity bag that blends a casual feel with a cool aesthetic.

Furthermore, a joint shop for "PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE" and "BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE" will open on the 4th floor of Tokyo Solamachi East Yard, a commercial facility within Tokyo Skytree, which will grand open on May 22nd (Tuesday).
