Globe Specs' Popular Event, Held Every Two Years

Eyewear "Selima" Trunk Show

In March,Daikan-yama Store Relocates and ReopensGlobe Specs, which reopened in May on the 26th (Saturday),Shibuya Storeand on the 27th (Sunday) at the Daikan-yama store, will host a trunk show with popular eyewear designer Selima Salaun, active in New York, visiting Japan.

Showcasing a Wide Range from Latest Eyewear to Vintage Accessories and Fashion Items

Selima Salaun is on a roll, with many collaborations with currently trending brands and artists such as J. Crew, Adam Kimmel, Jack Spade, and stylist June Ambrose. Globe Specs holds a trunk show every two years, and this time, "We are planning a slightly different kind of visiting event than usual, with content that not only allows attendees to acquire special items but also makes them feel as if they've visited New York," says Tetsuya Okada, representative of Globe Specs.

Various items will be brought to the trunk show. In eyewear, in addition to vintage and the latest Selima eyewear, there will be collaborations with Jack Spade, which just debuted in NY, collaborations with the highly popular stylist June Ambrose who styles numerous celebrities, 70s Persol glasses, and 70s-80s Cazal and Emilio Pucci. Furthermore, various 70s-90s Hermès accessories, 70s-80s vintage scarves from famous brands like Gucci, and rings, bracelets, and pins from many brands including HARUMI. Selima's hats will also be featured, alongside a wide array of vintage jewelry and accessories from the 70s-90s.

"This time, Selima's son Theo, who is active as a DJ at clubs and parties, will be the DJ, and we plan to enjoy the latest NY sounds. Selima herself will also offer advice on eyewear and fashion items, as she does at every event," says Mr. Okada.
