Approximately 60 Rare Historical Models on Display
Twenty years have passed since the legendary sneaker "NIKE AIR MAX 95," designed by Sergio Lozano, first appeared. At the limited-time exhibition space "STUDIO 95," archival materials such as design sketches from the time, inspired by the human spine, ribs, and muscles, will be exhibited. Through the display of approximately 60 pairs, including the original model and subsequent iterations, alongside the untold story of AIR MAX 95's birth, the exhibition showcases the diversity and evolution of this iconic sneaker.
Additionally, an interactive booth allows visitors to freely paint a 3D polygon version of AIR MAX 95, and a "NIKEiD corner" lets attendees create their own unique AIR MAX 95. A limited-time "AIR MAX 95 iD Design Contest" is also being held, offering inspiration to all visitors.
Participatory Event Using Smartphones Also Kicks Off
The "AIR MAX 95 MISSION," a consumer-participation digital event using smartphones and linked to the "STUDIO 95" venue, begins on August 6th in the Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and Ueno areas. This event challenges participants to collect "DIGITAL AIR MAX 95" scattered throughout the city, rather than the physical shoes, to win prizes. The event unfolds across sneaker shops and streets in Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and Ueno.
Participants will find QR codes located inside sneaker shops, on walls, and signs on the streets. Scanning these with the "AIR MAX 95 MISSION" special website's QR code reader allows them to download and collect DIGITAL AIR MAX 95. Each QR code can only be scanned once per location per day to obtain one item. Various other content will also be available within "STUDIO 95."
Special Items for Top Entrants
The "DIGITAL AIR MAX 95" are categorized into four rarity levels (SS/S/A/B rank), with rarer models assigned higher scores. By accumulating scores assigned to each of the 57 sneaker models, participants' final rankings will be determined. Top-ranked entrants will receive special items.
