Fashion's Rising Star, Ella Richards, Visits Japan for the First Time
For the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign, 19-year-old model Ella Richards, granddaughter of musician Keith Richards, has been chosen. We spoke with her about the campaign during her first visit to Japan.

Mario Testino Captures the Latest British Icons
Ella Richards, who also appeared in Burberry's show in Los Angeles and is active as a fashion model, began by happily stating, "As a brand representing Britain with a long and traditional heritage, I am honored to be chosen for this campaign."
The campaign visuals were directed by Chief Creative and Executive Officer Christopher Bailey and shot by photographer Mario Testino in London's iconic St. James's area. Featuring Ella Richards alongside 12 other of the latest British talents, including musician Tom Odell and actress Holliday Grainger. Regarding the set, overseen by the renowned photographer Mario Testino, Ella commented, "It wasn't as tense as I imagined."
"It was a lot of fun. The shoot was set up in a paparazzi style, so we walked around the streets of London with the other models. I've worked with Mario many times before; he's always kind, efficient, and very easy to work with."

The theme for Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is "Patchwork, Patterns, and Prints," featuring a rich Bohemian style. Many items fuse British tradition with modernity, including the brand's signature Made in England trench coats, Scottish cashmere scarves, tailoring, and ponchos and bucket bags from the Burberry Prorsum runway, all vibrantly adorning the campaign. Among these, Ella shared her favorite item for the season.
"I like the long red dress the most. It's a relaxed style, but the red pattern adds a smart touch, making it not too casual, which is lovely. This season's Burberry Prorsum has many patterned items, so I'd like to wear it simply with solid-colored sneakers."
Scouted at the age of 16, this year marks her second year in her modeling career. "Although it's only my second year, I've had the opportunity to work on various projects and gain a lot of experience. The sense of accomplishment when I see my completed photos in a magazine is the true reward of this job. I want to continue working hard as a model, but I'm also considering returning to being a student." Ella shared.
During her visit to Japan, she completed her makeup using products from Burberry's makeup collection. Inspired by British heritage, Burberry Beauty is known for creating a healthy, radiant complexion. For this look, Ella used natural foundation and nude powder. She added a subtle touch of color with smoky brown eyeshadow and a sweet plum lip color, maximizing her natural charm. The Burberry makeup collection will be available in select domestic stores and online starting mid-September.
