Harris Tweed is meticulously handcrafted by artisans living on Scotland's Outer Hebrides islands. The fabric must be finished on the islands of Harris, Lewis, Benbecula, North Uist, and South Uist, with currently 120 artisans residing there. Pure virgin wool, dyed in the Outer Hebrides, is handwoven on traditional looms. All woven fabrics undergo rigorous inspection by the Harris Tweed Authority in the UK, and only those that pass are granted the "Orb Mark" trademark tag, a testament to its status as the "King of Tweeds." The finished product possesses a distinguished presence befitting its royal moniker.


To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Harris Tweed, Mitsukoshi Isetan and United Arrows have commissioned limited-edition items from 10 popular brands using Harris Tweed. These items will be available from Wednesday, October 5th, at Isetan Shinjuku, Ginza Mitsukoshi, and a total of four Mitsukoshi Isetan Group stores, as well as United Arrows Harajuku Main Store and a total of six United Arrows stores. The collection features a total of 14 limited-edition items, not found in the regular collection, including apparel and accessories! This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a lifelong Harris Tweed piece.
