Bringing Energy, Courage, and Hope to Japan. What's the Reason Behind the ¥9311 Price?
The wings of the DOVE, a symbol of peace, are engraved with "HOPE" and "JAPAN" to express wishes for Japan's revival. The body features a subtle engraving of the Japanese map, symbolizing the nation uniting to forge a new future. And the charm, "Jay's HOPE," holds a heart—representing LOVE—in its beak.
Jay Tsujimura states, "I was born into this world and have experienced two major historical tragedies: the 9/11 attacks in New York and the Great East Japan Earthquake on 3/11. Combining these numbers, I set the price at ¥9311. Despite the rising cost of precious metals, I've made the price affordable, with a sales target of 311 units!"
On the back of the charm, JAY's favorite phrase, "Just Don't Give Up, Don't Stop Believin'," is engraved. The wax-coated color cords come in six vibrant options: red, black, and blue, as well as softer shades of sky blue, cherry blossom pink, and olive green.
"The vivid red represents the Japanese flag's sun disc and is also Jay's signature color. Those familiar with Jay's Shop might expect red. Personally, I recommend the brighter colors for those who love fashion, and the softer tones for those with a more natural style," says JAY.
Thirty percent of the profits from the sale of "Jay's HOPE" lucky charms, all handcrafted, will be donated to "Yasai de Tasuketai" (http://yasaidetasuketai.jp/), an initiative led by TOKYO BOYZ Kei to support disaster-stricken areas.
