Showcasing The PARKSIDE ROOM's World
The PARKSIDE ROOM in Kichijoji is a shop with the concept of "a shop for urban dwellers with neutral and active thinking," offering a curated selection centered on eyewear, along with items that add spice to daily life.
The brand of the same name, "The PARKSIDE ROOM," debuted in April of this year with the theme of "neutral, active, mode." They released two types of optical and sunglasses designed for urban living, regardless of age. This time, new colors have been introduced: "Col.04," a clear frame with a cool color scheme, and "Col.06," featuring the brand's key color, gray.
The ongoing "The PARKSIDE ROOM 2015 Exhibition" features two original frame styles in 10 colors, based on classical designs and details, as well as collaboration hats with the hat brand COMESANDGOES, known for its modern interpretation of traditional styles.
Original Eyewear with Flexible Design
The PARKSIDE ROOM's original eyewear, "tpr-001," is a basic Wellington type with a front shape designed for universality. Details such as the temple switching, combined with this, create a sense of moderate activity.
"tpr-002," also available as sunglasses, is based on a classic combination frame with a modern design. The extremely thin metal bridge gives a clean impression, and the cutting towards the top of the front and the inner corner of the eye suppresses roundness, eliminating any clunkiness and creating a sharp aesthetic.
Both models can be worn as optical glasses with clear lenses, or as sunglasses by inserting colored lenses into the optical versions, offering a flexible design.
Hats to Complement The PARKSIDE ROOM Eyewear
To coincide with the launch of The PARKSIDE ROOM's 10 original eyewear styles in two models, an image visual was created by the creative team "AHA" led by stylist Akio Hasegawa. The hats featured in the visual are from COMESANDGOES, inspired by vintage military hats. This event offers the original COMESANDGOES color in white, a navy exclusive ordered by AHA, and a green version created specifically for The PARKSIDE ROOM.
The hats feature a genderless and neutral design, with chain stitching on the brim sewn with vintage sewing machines, perfect as a statement piece for summer outfits. They are ideal for coordinating with The PARKSIDE ROOM eyewear.
