An Homage to the 2006 Men's Collection
Following the "1.1 Millionaires Sunglasses," which evoked the eyewear worn in Al Capone's Chicago, these feature a bold square frame. This design is an homage to a Louis Vuitton design first presented in the Fall/Winter 2006 Men's collection.
Particularly striking is the Monogram Flower motif, adorned with four crystals at the center. The "Monogram," created by Georges Vuitton in 1896, transcends time, merging with innovative creativity to form a modern model.
Two versions are available, using acetate for the frames. The black model features gold-tone detailing on the "Monogram," while the green marble model is accented with silver-tone detailing.
The green marble pattern echoes the colors used in the backdrop of the Fall/Winter 2021 Men's fashion show, referencing the structure of metamorphic rock that symbolizes the Barcelona Pavilion. The pure, symmetrical lines evoke the silhouette of a building, as interpreted by the architect Virgil Abloh.
The LV initials embedded in the hinges further convey the Maison's heritage. With their bold, mask-like square frames, modern bridges adorned with Monogram Flowers, and deep, beveled designs, these pieces establish a unique, forward-thinking style deeply rooted in history.
