A Fresh Twist on Ray-Ban's Cult Classic Wayfarer Sunglasses
In Ray-Ban's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Wayfarers featuring unique and creative designs on the inside—such as New York subway maps, floral patterns, and vibrant stripes—captured attention. This "Rare Prints" collection propelled the Wayfarer into the spotlight as a trendsetter.
These unique prints are inspired by 80s pop culture, films, and fashion, infusing the legendary model with a pop sensibility while exuding the power of the 80s.
The "Comic" and "Button Pin" additions to the Rare Prints series this summer reimagine pop culture, film, and advertising trends as top fashion for 2010-2011.
The "Comic" features various bright color versions, with the face of the sunglasses rendered in a retro monochrome. The "Button Pin," printed with colorful pins, offers a distinctive finish for the RB 2140 model, incorporating vibrant colors and imaginative designs.
The "Stripe" will be released in July, followed by "Comic," "Button Pin," and "Color Twirl" in August at eyewear specialty stores nationwide. Prices range from 23,100 to 26,250 yen.
