Born in America in 2002, True Religion Brand Jeans has grown into a global leader in denim casual style, inspired by 1970s fashion with its hippie and bohemian aesthetic, the high quality of its authentic American-made denim, and its perfect fit.
Today, the brand offers a wide range of items including sportswear such as t-shirts, western shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and vintage-inspired knitwear and cut-and-sew items. The collection also extends to footwear, headwear, handbags, swimwear, eyewear, socks, and fragrances, providing a comprehensive lineup of accessories alongside denim. They offer complete styling solutions.

The Jingumae store, True Religion Brand Jeans' first street store in Japan, opened on Friday, May 21st, featuring men's, women's, and kids' lines, including items previously unavailable in Japan.
"Expanding True Religion's retail presence into the Japanese market is a crucial strategy for enhancing brand recognition globally," says Jeffrey Lubell, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of True Religion Apparel, Inc. "Japanese consumers have a strong demand for luxury items, so we are very excited to offer a wide selection of True Religion Brand Jeans, including premium denim, sportswear, and accessories, to our customers in Japan."

Brand Profile
True Religion Brand Jeans
Before conceiving the idea for "True Religion" in 2002, founder Jeffrey Lubell had been managing various textile and denim companies for over 20 years. With his vision for denim, unwavering commitment, and strong passion, he unveiled the first "True Religion Brand Jeans" piece in early 2003. Initially, he offered basic men's styles and began selling them in high-end specialty stores in Los Angeles, but initially, no one purchased them. However, he persistently persuaded the assistant manager of menswear at Fred Segal on Melrose to stock the products. He believed that if they didn't sell, he would take them all back, but if they did sell, they would surely reorder. He then handed jeans to every salesperson on the floor. He reasoned that if customers liked the jeans worn by the salespeople, they would surely want to buy them. Within a week, the products were sold out, and the rest, as they say, is history for this brand.
For Jeff, who calls himself a hippie, the name "True Religion" and the "Buddha" logo are highly symbolic. The "Buddha" represents peace, and the acoustic guitar expresses Jeff's affection for his beloved classic rock. The name "True Religion" stems from Jeff's belief that although there are many religions in the world, we are all the same human beings. And everyone, with their diverse beliefs, wears jeans – "True Religion Brand Jeans!"
