“MINOTAUAR THE FABRE” Now Open at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 2F

At Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 2F, International Creators, MINOTOUR BOOK SELLERS in ISETAN presents “MINOTAUAR THE FABRE = Fabre’s Book of Insects,” running until May 18th (Tuesday).

The World of Fashion Styling by Eiichi Izumi and Book Curation by Motoyuki Haba

During the “MINOTAUAR THE FABRE” exhibition, a special collection of limited-edition items will be released, inspired by nature. These include organic cotton underwear in collaboration with “MUNSING WEAR,” and the “Botanical Dye” series, featuring organic circular knit fabric dyed with natural pigments extracted from red clover and parsley. Additionally, there will be T-shirts adorned with butterfly motifs, made from Apexa®, an eco-friendly material developed by Dupont® that decomposes into carbon dioxide and water in compost.

The exhibition space showcases plants and a book selection by Motoyuki Haba, alongside clothing that has been fashion-styled.

Regarding this “MINOTAUAR THE FABRE” event, Eiichi Izumi, responsible for the fashion styling, commented: “MINOTAUR’s theme this season is ‘Fabre’s Book of Insects.’ We’ve created items suitable for picnics in parks or forests, insect collecting, and light hiking, such as Vibram-soled trekking sandals, PORTER backpacks, and mountain jackets. Alongside items like polo shirts with beautiful butterfly embroidery and jackets with ladybug lapel pins, there are books selected by book selector Motoyuki Haba, inspired by insects and picnics. These pieces are crafted not only for their quality but also to incorporate elements of playfulness and comfort. Please experience the world of ‘Minotaur & MUG’ Spring/Summer 2010.”
