The "Custom-Made Boot Gift Card," which sold out in 300 sets last autumn, arrived in a special miniature shoebox case (pictured top right). We decided to actually place an order using this gift card, which was given as a Christmas present. For reference, custom-made boots are available year-round at major Timberland stores.

For men, the base is Timberland's classic 6-Inch Premium Boot. You can meticulously customize every detail, choosing from 14 types of upper leather, 8 colors for the collar padding, 7 types of midsoles, 5 outsole colors, 9 stitch colors, 4 font styles for lettering, and 9 embroidery colors for initials.

For the upper leather, which defines the boot's overall impression, I chose white. With standard white boots, one might hesitate, thinking "it's too precious to get dirty," but since the eyelets and laces can also be specified, I decided on white as the base color and proceeded with the order.

To match the white upper leather, I selected gray for the collar padding. While there are other vibrant colors like red and green available, I opted for gray to give the otherwise striking white boot a more sophisticated finish. Since the collar padding is gray, I unified the midsole, stitching, and embroidery colors to gray as well. The outsole and laces are white, creating a simple two-tone design.

Upon arrival, opening the box revealed boots as white as fresh snow. The gray collar padding grounds the overall look, resulting in a truly original, adult boot – a one-of-a-kind creation.
