Established in its home country of Spain, the Loewe Foundation is currently headed by Sheila Loewe, the sixth generation of the Loewe founding family. The foundation has been dedicated to supporting valuable Spanish talent and helping them shine on the global stage. Among its beneficiaries is the Spanish National Dance Company, comprising 40 dancers and led by the world-renowned choreographer José Carlos Martínez as artistic director. To celebrate their landmark visit to Japan, a special performance was held for clients at a Loewe boutique.

The event took place at Casa Loewe Omotesando, the brand's three-story flagship store that grand-opened this past July. Seven dancers utilized the first and second floors to their full extent, presenting a contemporary dance performance. Moving to classical music, the dancers spontaneously began their improvisational routines, captivating the audience with their original and graceful movements. The performance also became interactive, with dancers engaging with guests and incorporating the store's bags and clothing into their act.

José Carlos Martínez, often hailed as a genius choreographer, began his ballet training in Spain at the age of nine. In 1988, he joined the Paris Opera Ballet, where he was appointed Étoile approximately nine years later. He has since presented his own choreographic works, including "Children of Paradise" and "La Favorite." In 2011, he assumed the role of artistic director for the Spanish National Dance Company, solidifying his status as a luminary in the ballet world.

Regarding the event held with Loewe's support, José Carlos Martínez commented, "I am honored to perform in this space that fuses Spanish and Japanese culture. Loewe is a brand with a history of blending Spanish tradition with modernity, and its commitment to actively supporting cultural activities and educational programs is truly admirable. Just as I aim to incorporate new elements while preserving the traditions of the dance company, Loewe embodies the same concept. Furthermore, unlike our usual stage performances, this event offers a rare opportunity for the audience to experience the dancers' movements and emotions up close."
