To mark its 30th anniversary in 2014, Italian denim brand GAS is communicating its identity through a project that introduces its core theme, “Fast Attitude.” The theme signifies “speed.” Visuals featuring MotoGP World Champion Marc Márquez, fitting for this milestone, will also be unveiled.

GAS celebrates 30 years in 2014. In Japan, an exclusive digital event, “GAS FREE FOR 30 SECONDS,” will be held on the official website starting at 9:30 PM on October 30th (Thursday).

This event features a speed-racing game alongside a chronometer that relentlessly marks time, emphasizing “speed.” On the e-commerce site, which will display “FREE” for 30 seconds, the first person to successfully claim their desired item size will receive it for real. Even if you lose the game, all participants will receive a 30% off coupon.

The ambassador embodying this initiative is MotoGP World Champion Marc Márquez. GAS began its partnership with Marc’s team, Repsol Honda Team, 16 years ago. This strong collaboration with a leading motorcycle manufacturer serves as a bridge between the worlds of denim and motorcycling.

Invitations to participate in GAS FREE FOR 30 SECONDS will be disseminated through multi-channel communications, both online and offline. The event, conceived as an international initiative, will be held throughout 2014 in the brand’s key markets. Following its launch in Italy and Hungary in May, the world tour heads east, with planned events in India, including Japan.

In Japan, a training version of the event began on September 30th to prepare participants for the main event. Users who pre-register can practice the process of acquiring free products on a dedicated training site, so we recommend honing your skills through rehearsal.
