Featuring Carbon Fibre, a State-of-the-Art Material

The "Ray-Ban TECH Carbon Fibre Collection" utilizes carbon fibre, a material renowned for its exceptional strength and lightness. This collection marks the debut of Ray-Ban's new category, born from the brand's advanced technological expertise.

The carbon fibre temples are constructed from seven layers of reinforced polyester resin sheets. The central five layers are infused with a special resin and then compressed into thin sheets, ensuring high strength. Furthermore, the sheets of carbon fibre are cut using a water jet, resulting in smooth, precisely shaped edges. This patented process yields frames that are exceptionally lightweight (under 2 grams), robust, flexible, and durable.

Additionally, the use of a monobloc hinge instead of welding to the front frame reduces stress on the frame, extending the lifespan of your cherished eyewear.

All lenses, enhanced with Ray-Ban's special technology, have passed impact tests, including the "drop ball test" where a 16mm steel ball is dropped from a height of 1.27m. They also feature hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings, providing permanent protection against water and oily substances like sweat and fingerprints. These lenses are ideal for sports and outdoor activities.

The Ray-Ban TECH Carbon Fibre Collection offers a choice of two lens materials – glass and plastic – in three colours: green, brown, and mirror grey.
