The "High Pop" Comfort at the Core of Unique Select Shops

Satoshi Toyama, the designer of ALMOND, began his career by establishing a custom atelier focused on costumes for commercials, stage productions, and events. After working with womenswear brands, he launched the menswear brand ALMOND in 2003.

In 2004, he captured attention at Tokyo Collection with a conceptual show featuring an all-female model cast. His shoe collaborations with New Balance have also garnered significant interest from sneaker enthusiasts.

ALMOND selects various elements surrounding us—such as the rapidly changing street culture and fashion of TOKYO—through its unique perspective, embodying them with the brand's established craftsmanship. This results in the "High Pop" style, representing Tokyo's elegant casualwear.

The collection features items like bags made from a custom star-patterned jacquard with a textured finish, and the "CM1500," born from the collaboration with New Balance, embodying a POP & LUXE aesthetic for a superior level of style.

Shoe Collaboration with New Balance Evolves Further

For the Spring/Summer 2009 collection, the third year of the shoe collaboration with New Balance, the wear line "NINJA" was launched under the banner "ALMOND×new balance."

This fusion of New Balance's long-standing shoe philosophy and exceptional technology with ALMOND's consistent concept proposes a new lifestyle: "A life with playful, well-designed sportswear."
