While it is widely known that Fred Perry, the founder of the brand, was a renowned tennis player who achieved three consecutive Wimbledon championships, he also left a significant mark on the history of fashion business.

Firstly, he established his company and developed a global tennis business long before the concept and term "globalization" even existed.
Furthermore, the resulting polo shirt found its place as a casual item, fitting into the lifestyles of young people and gaining acceptance as a basic wardrobe staple.
This style, in turn, gave rise to new youth cultures and continues to be closely intertwined with music and street fashion today.

The kickoff event for Frederick John Perry's 100th birthday celebration, held this time, was a grand affair attended by numerous figures from the fashion industry. (Details in the photo gallery above.)

Global promotions will commence on May 18th (Monday), Frederick John Perry's actual birthday. With the release of a 100th-anniversary polo shirt and various commemorative events planned, the celebration is set to gain worldwide momentum.
