RESOLUTE Fair at JUNMEN Ginza Main Store

A fair for "RESOLUTE," the brand launched by Yoshiyuki Hayashi, a designer with over 20 years in the Japanese denim industry and widely known among denim fans, will be held for three days starting August 29 (Friday) at the JUNMEN Ginza Main Store.

Pursuing Denim as a "Tool"

RESOLUTE is committed to "Made in Japan," with all production processes, from weaving and dyeing to sewing and finishing, carried out by skilled denim artisans in the Bingo region of the Chugoku district in western Japan.

The original fabric, woven on old-fashioned looms using traditional dyeing methods, is characterized by its "tangible fuzz." As you wear them and they conform to your body, the fuzz wears away at areas like the knees, hips, and inseam, causing the color to fade. This fuzz, essential for creating rich, nuanced fades, captivates fans.

The areas where the fuzz has disappeared become lighter, while the remaining fuzz stays dark, creating a subtle color contrast within a single pair of jeans. It takes at least a year of continuous wear for RESOLUTE jeans to be considered complete.

The Reason Behind the Limited Lineup of Just Four Models

The fair at the JUNMEN Ginza Main Store, held for three days only, will offer the brand's four signature models, allowing customers to choose their preferred waist and inseam sizes. Furthermore, on August 30 (Saturday) and 31 (Sunday), designer Hayashi himself will be present to assist customers with size fittings.

RESOLUTE's core models are Lot.710, inspired by Levi's "66 Model," and Lot.711, inspired by the "XX Model." The lineup also includes Lot.712 with a zipper fly and Lot.713, a variation of Lot.710 with a shallower rise, totaling four models.

Designer Hayashi explains his commitment to a lineup of only four models: "I want to continue creating ideal staples that can be obtained no matter how many years pass."
