Collaboration Items with Kirie Artist Mikito Ozeki Arrive

roar, known for its "cross gun" trademark and for promoting Japanese craftsmanship domestically and internationally through fashion, has created collaboration items with Mikito Ozeki, a kirie artist based in Nagoya. These items are now available.

Trademark Reimagined Through Kirie Art

Mikito Ozeki's kirie artworks are created freehand without preliminary sketches, from a single sheet of paper. The way lines are successively cut from a blank canvas to gradually form an image captivates viewers and is also praised as performance art.

roar × Mikito Ozeki "PEACE"

With the philosophy of "bringing even a little happiness to people in this chaotic world, where various elements of good and evil are intertwined," Ozeki created two art pieces. This collaboration has now been realized in roar's products.

One of the artworks, "STRUGGLE," features the brand's trademark cross gun as its motif. It expresses the intention to cease conflict, symbolized by guns pointed at each other, yet to actively engage in struggle even in such a situation. Here, "struggle" refers to confronting challenges peacefully, without the use of weapons.

The other artwork, "PEACE," depicts a peace symbol that is not straightforward, intertwining elements that resemble trees and gases. It carries the message that "after overcoming difficulties and accumulating various experiences, peace will finally arrive as a result."

This collaboration features three types of items, available in a total of five variations. The parkas come in two patterns: STRUGGLE and PEACE, with large prints on the back. The pants feature an all-over print of PEACE on the front, in one pattern. The T-shirts have STRUGGLE and PEACE prints on the back, in two patterns. These items are now available at "roar" retailers nationwide, including the Daikanyama roar flagship store.
