GAZIANO & GIRLING
(GAZIANO & GIRLING / England)
Founded in 2006 by Tony Gaziano and Dean Girling.
Tony Gaziano, after studying architecture, excelled as a shoe designer and model maker for companies such as Cheaney, Paul Smith, and Jeffery-Weston. He then demonstrated his prowess in design and last making alongside the former president at Edward Green, contributing to the brand's current prosperity. He also trained in bespoke shoemaking at George Cleverley, a bespoke shoemaker considered one of the finest in London and the UK. Subsequently, at the request of Edward Green's current president, he returned to establish the bespoke department, but was then invited by Dean Girling to go independent.
Dean Girling learned shoemaking under Raymond Cook at John Lobb and worked as a bespoke outworker for John Lobb, George Cleverley, and Edward Green. A single phone call from him to Tony Gaziano marked the beginning of GAZIANO & GIRLING.
The shoes, a fusion of the last silhouettes showcasing the exceptional talent of last maker and shoe designer Tony Gaziano, and the unwavering dedication to craftsmanship of Dean Girling, a master craftsman known throughout the bespoke shoemaking world, can be considered the pinnacle of ready-to-wear footwear and are poised to lead the future of the shoe industry.
