'B&G' Reflect on 2008 and Discuss Ambitions for 2009 (Part 2)

Brian Atwood, one of today's most sought-after shoe designers, creates pieces celebrated by women worldwide for their elegance and ability to enhance feminine allure.

The shoes launching this season include three captivating models: a 3cm platform pump showcasing BALLY's signature craftsmanship, a ballerina flat adorned with Swarovski crystals, and a mid-heel with a beautiful silhouette and exceptional comfort. Available in nappa leather in basic black and cute off-white ('petit'), as well as in satin in black and gold to elegantly adorn women's feet.

The 'EVA' bag is crafted from exceptionally soft glove leather. Featuring sophisticated pleating, bold piping, and chic hardware accents, this bag is playfully enhanced with scattered sparkling studs and a heart charm. Available in black and 'petit'.

These limited-edition items will be presented in special gift boxes.

Brian Atwood studied Art & Architecture at Southern Illinois University before pursuing Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.

After graduating, Atwood traveled from America to Europe, beginning his career as a model on the international catwalk. In 1996, he became the first American designer hired by Gianni Versace in Milan. He started with designs for the Versus line but was soon promoted to Chief Designer of Women's Accessories, mastering the intricacies of shoe design and high-quality production.

His women's shoe line, launched in 2001, was met with critical acclaim and garnered a global following. In 2003, his design talent was recognized by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) with the Swarovski – Perry Ellis Award for Accessory Design. Juggling his studio in Milan and residence in New York, the accomplished designer, who operates on a global scale, embraced working in Europe, where shoe design is still regarded as an art form.

In February 2007, BALLY CEO Marco Franchini appointed Brian Atwood as Creative Director, a role he had sought since 2001. Atwood now oversees all of BALLY's design direction, leading a team that includes designers such as Johnny Coca, Andrea Pomplilio, and Sarah Johnson.
