Faithfully Recreating Original Details
The original American-made New Balance "1700," released in 1999, was a highly popular model that first adopted full-length "ABZORB" cushioning for superior shock absorption and stability, and featured a durable rubber material called "N durance" on the heel for enhanced abrasion resistance.
In 2010, an Asian-made "1700" reissue was released, using the same sole as the original to faithfully replicate its excellent comfort.

The Asian-made "1700" has now been reissued for the first time in 10 years and is currently available.
This standout pair boasts premium synthetic leather, "LIMITED EDITION" and "new balance japan" embroidery on the heel, and a colorway recreated from the original "1700" released in a limited run of 2,000 pairs in Japan in 2000.
