Yohji Yamamoto introduces the "NO FUTURE JACKET," a unisex piece designed to sound an alarm about environmental changes brought on by climate change. It will be released on Friday, January 17, 2019.

The jacket worn by Mr. Yamamoto when he appeared for his greeting at the end of the "YOHJI YAMAMOTO FEMME 20SS PARIS COLLECTION" show is now being released.

This item, named the "NO FUTURE JACKET," features the words "NO FUTURE" and Mr. Yamamoto's handwritten signature "Yohji Yamamoto" printed on the back.

It uses the same silhouette as his favored "Dr. JACKET," crafted from the brand's signature wool gabardine (wrinkle gabardine).

The piece is finished with a blend of individuality and chicness, designed to be worn as a unisex item.

The phrase "NO FUTURE" serves as a warning about the apocalyptic state of the world, marked by natural disasters stemming from global climate change, which is intensifying worldwide (NO FUTURE = no future). It also conveys Mr. Yamamoto's message to actively create one's own future, rather than passively accepting it, even amidst such unstable social conditions.
