Unique Pieces with Asymmetrical Designs
New Balance has launched the <TEST_RUN> program, an initiative that produces items with unique ideas and approaches distinct from their regular development lines. The third installment, a new model of shoes, has been released.
This model was conceived at the New Balance Global Design Center and incorporates a more sustainable approach.
Utilizing existing midsoles and surplus materials from the manufacturing of other shoes, the uppers are constructed. Because various materials are used in different places, no two shoes are identical, and even the left and right shoes feature unique designs.
The midsole uses the sole from the FRESH FOAM HIERRO v5, featuring New Balance's cushioning platform, "FRESH FOAM." The uppers are then crafted using surplus mesh, synthetic leather, and webbing tape found in the factory. Additionally, the outsole is VIBRAM® EcoStep, which contains 30 percent recycled materials.
The sockliner is adorned with the <TEST_RUN> logo, signifying that the item was born from this uniquely expressive program.
