The running shoe "METARIDE™ AMU" is complete, a collaboration between ASICS and Kengo Kuma, one of Japan's leading architects.

This model is based on the "METARIDE™" released in 2019. The upper, with its intricately crisscrossed linear materials, is inspired by the "Yara-ami" technique from traditional bamboo crafts. Furthermore, it incorporates ASICS' long-standing research to softly yet securely hold the foot during runs.

Pay attention to the distinctive sole, which curves upward towards the toe. It achieves both cushioning and durability, enabling smooth foot movement.

At Mr. Kuma's suggestion, the midsole material "FLYTEFOAM," made from wood-derived cellulose nanofiber, is used in its natural, undyed state, resulting in an environmentally conscious shoe.
