ISKO™ DENIM SOUND TEXTURES Exhibition Makes Its Japan Debut

Denim fabric brand ISKO™ is presenting an installation at the Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store's main building. Through technology that expresses denim fabric as sound, visitors can experience something entirely new. The exhibition runs until November 4, 2019.

Born from a Collaboration Between Denim Fabric and Sound
An Unprecedented Experience

ISKO™ is a leading global denim fabric brand. The denim it produces has earned numerous patents, and with 2,000 high-tech automated looms, it has the capacity to produce 300 million meters of fabric annually.
ISKO™ is now exhibiting an installation at the main building of the Daimaru Shinsaibashi Store, which has recently reopened after renovation.
Titled "ISKO™ DENIM SOUND TEXTURES," this exhibition is an unprecedented installation that fuses denim fabric with sound.
Visitors can interactively experience seven "denim sounds" derived from denim woven with seven distinct technologies (patents) provided to seven brands, engaging all senses of sound, touch, and sight.
Chiara Lucciana, a renowned sound designer from Italy, has utilized special microphones and audio technology. Interpreting ISKO™'s seven technologies, she has extracted and expressed sound textures from each fabric.
By touching the innovative "ISKO™ Touch Technology" installed at each installation, visitors can sample the respective sounds, experiencing the fabric of denim in ways that transcend imagination.
